Cookie Notice
This notice explains how Exiled Mounty uses cookies, analytics, local storage, server logs, and related technologies.
Effective and last updated: August 12, 2026.
Current Position
Exiled Mounty does not currently use advertising cookies or retargeting pixels on its own pages.
The site uses privacy-friendly analytics, essential browser storage, server logs, and third-party services needed to operate products, payments, newsletters, security, and support. A traditional cookie-consent banner is not used because the first-party site does not currently set non-essential advertising cookies.
Exit Readiness Session Storage
The Exit Readiness Assessment uses browser session storage under the key exitReadinessV1 to remember your current question, answers, and destination choices while you complete the assessment or move backward. This information remains on your device, is removed after successful report submission, and normally disappears when the browser session ends.
Watch Commander Storage and Access
Watch Commander may use local storage or essential technical storage to remember product state, country or pass status, and related settings. Private workspace access may rely on an access token embedded in a private link rather than a conventional user account. Anyone with that link may be able to access the workspace, so keep it private and avoid using it on a shared device.
Self-Hosted Umami Analytics
We use a self-hosted instance of Umami to understand traffic and site performance without advertising profiles. Depending on the event and browser, analytics may include the page URL, referrer, approximate country derived from network information, browser, operating system, device type, screen size, browser language, campaign parameters, interaction events, and performance measurements.
Umami is configured as privacy-focused analytics and does not require a persistent visitor-identification cookie on Exiled Mounty pages. If you want to disable Umami analytics in your browser for this site, open the browser console on an Exiled Mounty page and run localStorage.setItem('umami.disabled', '1'), then reload. Clearing site storage removes that preference.
Logs and Error Monitoring
We may use server logs, product event logs, and error logs to diagnose technical failures, confirm whether a report was generated, protect against abuse, and support access or refund questions.
Newsletter and Third-Party Links
The Exiled Mountie newsletter uses Substack for subscription and delivery. If you click through to Substack or another third-party service, that service may use its own cookies and tracking technologies under its own policy.
Payments and Product Access
Paid tools such as Watch Commander may use Stripe or another payment provider. Stripe may use cookies or similar technologies during checkout for payment, fraud prevention, and security.
Private workspace access may also require essential technical storage, local storage, private links, or access tokens.
No Ad Retargeting By Default
We do not currently use Meta Pixel, Google Ads retargeting, TikTok Pixel, or similar advertising trackers by default.
If that changes, this notice should be updated before those tools are added.
Your Controls
You can clear cookies, local storage, and session storage through your browser settings, block third-party cookies, or use private-browsing mode. Clearing essential storage may reset assessment progress, sign you out of third-party services, or remove remembered product state. Browser controls do not invalidate server-side order, consent, security, or transaction records.
